This week on Teesside: October 13th-20th

James Cartwright looks back on another week of Teesside football.

Guisborough Town

The Priorymen fell 4-3 at home to Sunderland RCA last Saturday. Highlights and match photos can be seen below:

They answered that defeat with a good 2-1 home win over Whitley Bay on Wednesday.

Billingham Synthonia

Unfortunately for Synthonia they stayed rooted to the bottom of the league after losing 4-2 to Jarrow Roofing on Saturday.

There has been an update to their website, with it receiving a full makeover: https://www.synners.co.uk/

They have also made a new addition at goalkeeper.

Thornaby

They had five different goalscorers at the weekend in thumping 5-1 win at Crook Town. A result that prompted Crook manager Wilf Constantine to hand in his resignation.

Last night former Thornaby player Curtis Edwards continued his Europa League journey with Östersunds FK by scoring in a 2-2 draw with Athletic Bilbao.

It’s certainly the most meteoric rise for footballer once covered by the Teesside Football Blog!
